  1. Register for an SP Utilities Account

  1. Choose Electricity Plan

    • You can stay with SP Group or choose an Open Electricity Market (OEM) retailer (e.g. Geneco, Keppel Electric).

    • Compare prices at https://compare.openelectricitymarket.sg

  2. Pay Security Deposit

    • Around $40–$800, depending on property type and nationality.

2. Internet and Mobile

Popular Providers: Singtel, StarHub, M1, MyRepublic, ViewQwest, Simba

Steps:

  1. Choose a Plan

    • Compare providers for home broadband and mobile (fiber internet is standard).

    • Contract lengths usually range from 12 to 24 months.

  2. Book Installation

    • Internet usually requires a Next-Generation Nationwide Broadband Network (NGNBN) installation if not already present.

    • Installation takes a few working days.

  3. Bring Identification

    • Visit the store or sign up online with NRIC/FIN and proof of address.

3. TV Subscription (Optional)

If you want cable or IPTV:

  • Choose from Singtel TV, StarHub TV, MeWatch, or Netflix, Disney+, etc.

  • Most are bundled with broadband.

4. Refuse Collection & Conservancy Fees

  • For HDB flats, fees are included in monthly town council charges.

  • For condos/landed, refuse collection is usually handled by MCST or NEA-appointed contractors.

🧾 Tips:

  • Use the SP Utilities App to track your bills and consumption.

  • GIRO or credit card can be set for automatic payments.

  • For expats: A local bank account helps smooth setup for utilities and telecom bills.
